I am currently getting a body massage while writing this.
My body feels exhausted from all the activity I have done this week and this massage is an extreme blessing at the moment. I wanted to join the gym during Ramadan but never mind, I have all the muscles I need at the moment by running around doing this and that. I am not complaining, just merely exaggerating, as you do.
The week kicked off with two meetings I attended. I am part of the student committee, and the students who participated are expected to plan out the exhibition that is held at the end of every trimester for the students to showcase their work. It is exciting that this time around the students get to organize this to their own liking. However, in the meeting, all the faculty members were there to see if our suggestions were reasonable and do-able. The second meeting I attended was an eye opener. It was related to the trip to Kenya that CAMPS, an organization, is planning for us. There was a lady who explained to us what to expect from the trip and how we can help the children in Kenya by supplying them fresh water and building schools for them. The benefit that students get out this is the ultimate experience that everyone wishes for. If I get the chance to go, I am most excited about documenting all of it. I am already having ideas of a documentary I would like to make while I am there.
The most hectic day was thursday. We had to shoot for our thirty second teaser out in the heat in an alley way at night time. Luckily, we found the perfect location and we could shoot from 8-10 pm. Two hours in the humid with the hot air of the generator blowing onto our faces was not how I imagined my Thursday night to be. However, it was a unique experience. It was exhausting, yet everyone was so determined and we had each other's backs. We managed to finish 6 minutes before 10 pm. Towards the end, everyone was on the floor, gasping for breath. I have learned that when out in the humid weather, drinking water does not cut it. We should have bought ourselves energy drinks that helped us gain the liquid we lost as sweat. At the end of the day, it all went well and we all did manage to carry out our roles responsibly. I have done the offline edit and have passed it over to Aaron to continue with the VFX. The final product makes me proud.
